Real Madrid have given Arsenal a final date by which they should decide the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or else the Los Blancos will be ready to pull the plug – as per the Mirror.

The Gunners are trying hard to make the forward sign a new deal but right now things are not going the club’s way. While Arteta is ready to wait a little longer but the last thing the club would want is to lose Aubameyang for free next year, much like they did with Aaron Ramsey.

And one of the player’s admirers, Real Madrid, have told Arsenal they want an answer by the middle of next month or else they will be more than happy to move to their other transfer alternatives.

Tom Hopkinson wrote for the Mirror: “Real Madrid have set Arsenal a June 15 deadline for a decision over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

“The La Liga giants are among the clubs chasing the Gunners striker, who has just 13 months left on his contract in north London.

“Aubameyang is not expected to sign a new deal at the Emirates, leaving Arsenal with a decision to make between cashing in now or allowing his contract to run down.

“Real want to sign him but they won’t wait beyond the middle of next month to know whether or not the Gabon star will join them.”

Should Arsenal agree to Real Madrid’s offer?

Real Madrid do have the financial power to pay the asking price for Arsenal’s most prized asset but there are two big reasons why we think, the Gunners should not make a hasty decision.

Firstly, there’s still a small chance Aubameyang could agree on a new deal at the Emirates because at any new club he will have to prove his worth, whereas in North London he’s already a superstar.

Well, this is a very far-fetched possibility but still, it can come true.

Second and most importantly, apart from Real Madrid, there’s a host of other clubs who are interested in signing the forward and most of them are big names.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Inter Milan are also highly interested in acquiring the services of Auba so the last thing the Gunners management would want is to let the forward leave for a cut-price deal.
