Arsenal will take on Chelsea in the Europa League final which is scheduled to be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium later this month.

Chelsea made a meal of their semi-final as the game went on to penalties after Eintracht managed to hold the Blues to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal though did not face any sort of the major problems with Valencia as they won the two-legged tie with an emphatic margin of 7-3.

Some people had predicted that the Gunners might lose focus away from home but thankfully that was not the case as they won the game in Spain 4-2 with Aubameyang scoring a hat-trick and Lacazette adding the other one.

But going into the finals, Arsenal are set to miss Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan started the second-leg on the bench and came on to replace Mesut Ozil in the 62nd minute of the match.

Now though as per reports, the midfielder could be absent for the final vs Chelsea.

The Europa League final will be played in Azerbaijan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not likely travel to the country given that he is an Armenian citizen and there is political unrest between the two nations.

This though is not the first time that the Armenian will be left behind since he had also missed Arsenal’s Europa League group stage game vs Qarabag this season for the exact same reason.

Having said that though, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is eligible to apply for a visa and UEFA had previously claimed that they would support his application.

But if the midfielder does travel to Azerbaijan then surely there will be a risk of protests and Arsenal will surely not want to deal with any sort of safety concerns before such a crucial encounter.
