Victor Osimhen is edging closer to an exit from Napoli and as per reports, he is eager to move to the English Premier League.

Osimhen signed a new contract at the club in December but that won’t stop him from leaving Naples at the end of this season. His new contract has a release clause worth over £100 million and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that Victor Osimhen is heading for the exit doors.

He has said(h/t Fotmob): “We’ve known it since last summer; otherwise, the negotiation to extend would not have been so long.

“We already knew he would join Real Madrid, PSG or a Premier League club.”

Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG are the clubs who have been continuously linked with Victor Osimhen and as per the latest rumours, the striker is keen to join Pochettino’s side.

Chelsea will get rid of Romelu Lukaku and they are very much interested in signing a world-class replacement so it’s hardly a surprise that Osimhen is eager to join them as well.

However, this is the very start of this transfer race and now that Napoli have officially given up hopes of holding onto the 25-year-old, teams like PSG and Madrid will step up their interest.

Madrid are chasing Mbappe and Haaland but since Victor Osimhen is available in the market, Ancelotti could turn his focus to the Nigerian. PSG are a club that can easily challenge Chelsea in this transfer race but we don’t think the French giants stand a chance because Victor Osimhen has always dreamt of playing in the Premier League.

Arsenal are already out of the race because there’s no way they will be able to spend £100 million on a single player. They will bring in some funds from Gabriel Jesus and Nketiah’s sale in the summer but Mikel Arteta is more likely to go after someone like Ivan Toney or Evan Ferguson.
