Liverpool appointed Jurgen Klopp as their manager back in 2015 and everyone expected the German to bring his famed strategy which he had used at Dortmund.

But the first few seasons were not particularly great for Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool failed to break their mediocrity and there was a huge buzz that the Anfield outfit might part ways with the German.

Thankfully though, Liverpool chose to stick with Jurgen Klopp and they are now reaping the benefits.

Last season, the Reds came agonisingly close to winning the Champions League but in the end, Real Madrid proved to be the better side in the final.

This season, Liverpool lost just a single game in the Premier League but somehow Manchester City still managed to nick the title.

But now, Jurgen Klopp has successfully shut up all his haters by winning the Champions League trophy this past weekend.

The Reds beat Spurs 2-0 in the final and after the match, pundits just cannot stop showering praises at the German manager.

But Reds legend Jamie Carragher has now revealed that former Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was able to spot the genius of Klopp long before anyone else predicted that he would turn out to be such a huge hit in England.

Writing for the Telegraph, Carragher said: “There was a look of genuine admiration for Klopp, accompanied by that added hint of concern, telling me all I needed.

“’If Fergie is worried, this guy must be the real deal,’ I thought.

“Klopp, still a relatively young coach at the time, attended as Dortmund manager and was not in awe of the successful, more illustrious names around him.

“On the contrary, he was opinionated, forthright and, by all accounts, deeply impressive on a range of subjects. Sir Alex noted it.”

A couple of months ago, there were rumours that Jurgen Klopp might be enticed to head back to Germany as take up the job at Bayern Munich but now that he has tasted success with Liverpool, it is more or less certain that the 51-year-old will not be vacating his seat at Anfield anytime soon.
