Tottenham Hotspur take on Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League this week and Son Heung-min will surely be one of the biggest attractions for the Lilywhites.
Son Heung-min joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015 and since then the South Korean has been an influential figure in attack for the North London side.
And speaking before the crunch Champions League final vs Liverpool, Son Heung-min has claimed that he wishes to emulate former Man United player Park Ji-sung.
“He was unbelievable,” Son told the Mirror.
“I respect him. I respect the players who started playing in Europe because they opened the door and gave us the opportunity to play in Europe.
“This was what I wanted to do – to play in Europe.
“And now I want to give a good image of South Korean players and open the door even wider than it was a few years ago.
“This is my target. This is what I’m aiming for. Of course, it’s not that easy.
“I try to be like him [Park] because he did an unbelievable job for us and for our country and that’s why I respect him so much.”
This season, Son Heung-min has played in 47 games across all competitions so far having scored 20 goals and providing 10 assists.
And the South Korean has taken up the mantle in attack every time striker Harry Kane has been out injured this season.
