Celtic FC reportedly want to sign goalkeeper Fraser Forster on a permanent deal from Southampton FC after he impressed at the club in yet another loan spell.
During the 2019-20 season, Forster was sent out on loan to the Bhoys where he has managed to keep 14 clean sheets in just 28 Premiership matches.
A report in the Football Insider claimed: “Celtic are planning to everything they can to try and sign Fraser Forster permanently this summer, Football Insider understands.
“Manager Neil Lennon and recruitment chief Nicky Hammond are agreed that converting Forster’s loan into a full-time transfer is one of their priorities.
“A Celtic source has told Football Insider that club chiefs will pull out all stops to find the funds for Forster but they are likely to have to sell before they can buy.”

And now as per the latest updates, the Saints are ready to let Forster remain in Scotland next season but they want midfielder Olivier Ntcham in exchange of the shot-stopper, a player they have been eyeing for the past few months.
Ntcham has harboured feelings of an exit before but Celtic have blocked any interest in the 24-year-old claiming that he is a key part of the squad.
But now with this lucrative arrangement in hand, Neil Lennon might finally choose to let the Frenchman head to the Premier League in the summer.
Yes, Olivier Ntcham has played in 23 Premiership matches this season for the Bhoys but the Glasgow outfit might still try and hand him over to Southampton FC due to their desire of keeping Fraser Forster beyond the summer.
Also as per some reports, the Saints might want around €10 million for the keeper which is something, Lennon would be desperate to avoid, especially after such a massive and unexpected shutdown.
