The Scottish Premiership has a new destination as it will be shown only on Sky Sports from 2020.
The broadcasting giants from the United Kingdom have agreed on a £160 million deal to the Scottish clubs.
This means that BT Sports will not show any Premiership games from the season after next.
“Sky’s deal, which will kick in from the season after next, for exclusive Premiership lives games is thought to be worth around £26m a season.” as reported by the BBC.
And this shift has not gone down too well with the fans of many a clubs.
A large number of fans are not happy with the fact that Sky Sports will be showing the game because they feel that Sky have focused on Scottish football only for the money.
They argue that BT Sport have far better coverage as far as Scottish football is concerned and it is, in fact, BT who should have carried on their association with the SPFL.
Here are some reactions:
Poor again for the fans, back to being a warm up for the EPL. At least BT gave the game the prominence it deserved
