The 2018-19 season has come to an end for most domestic European leagues but there are still two high profile encounters left to play.
The Champions League and the Europa League final will be the final showdown before players go on a summer holiday and both these games will be an all-English affair.
While Liverpool will take on Spurs in the Champions League final, the Europa League final will be a London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.
And before these games, almost all the managers are working overtime to name their matchday squad.
Teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs have a number of serious injury concerns going into this match while Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is still unsure as to which players he should be leaving out for the final.
Now though, UEFA have given a big relaxation to all the concerned clubs since the four English clubs can now name 12 substitutes instead of the usual 7 on the bench for the final.
UEFA put the 12 man been on trail last year during the European Super Cup and this rule has now trickled down the this year’s Champions League and Europa League final.
This new rule is a huge boost for all the teams since the managers can now include the injured players on the bench.
The likes of Harry Kane and Aaron Ramsey remain doubts for the finals and up until now, reports had claimed that these players could be left out of the matchday squad.
But now that teams can name 12 substitutes, even the players with the slightest doubts will be able to make the journey to Madrid or Baku.
It also means that Danny Welbeck could also feature for Arsenal in the Europa League final after having been absent for most of the season with a serious injury.
Reports suggest that players like Adam Lallana and Rhian Brewster will now make it to the matchday squad for Liverpool who were earlier not being considered for the final in Madrid.
