Celtic beat Hearts 2-1 in the final game of the Premiership season with both goals coming from Michael Johnston.

While the 2018-19 might have come to an end for the other Scottish clubs but the Hoops still have one more game to play.

Next weekend, Celtic will take on Hearts once again this time in the Scottish Cup final and Neil Lennon will be hoping for a domestic clean sweep this season.

The Hoops though have already started preparing for the summer transfer window and now Scott Brown has given a hint as to what the Celtic Park outfit are planning to do.

The Bhoys captain has come out to claim that a lot of players will be leaving the club during the summer which means Celtic are preparing to splash some serious money in the transfer market.

Brown said: “There will be a clear-out at the end of the season and a lot of people will be leaving and there will be a lot of new faces coming in as well.

“There’s a lot of lads who have been here a long time that love being here and have won a lot of trophies and I think that’s what makes this club special.

“The lads have a lot of love and passion for the club and for the fans as well.”

Last summer, Celtic spent very little money in the transfer market as most of their signings were free arrivals. But this season, that trend might just change.

Some reports are claiming that the Glasgow outfit are planning to bring in some heavyweight players since they fear that Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are about to catch up.

But having said that though, the first thing that Celtic need to do is to announce their next permanent manager for the upcoming season.
