Tottenham Hotspur won their first league game of the season 2-1 vs Newcastle United and in doing so the Lilywhites calmed the nerves of a number of fans after the club failed to bring in any new players during the summer.
Spurs took the lead through Vertonghen in the 8th minute of the match and then it was Dele Alli was scored the club’s second goal – ten minutes later.
And after the goal, the English International did a celebration(something that he is quite famous for) after which things went back to normal.
It was only after Dele Alli posted a picture of his celebration on Instagram that the fans started losing their minds.
At first glance, the celebration looks simple enough, but on closer observation, it’s outright weird which in turn has caught the attention of everyone.
A number of Dele Alli’s teammates have tried to replicate the celebration but haven’t been successful.
And it is not only the players, the Dele Alli celebration has gathered mixed reviews from the fans.
First, there’s the group who have failed to do it themselves.
I hear part of the reason for the stadium delay is because the construction team have wasted the last three days trying to work out how to do Dele Alli’s weird hand celebration thing.
