Rangers FC have signed eleven new players during the summer transfer window but it seems that the manager needs to bring in atleast one more player.

Gerrard has signed the likes of Lassana Coulibaly and Ovie Ejaria during the summer which meant that the Light Blues were more or less sorted in that area of the pitch and the manager just needed to focus on the attacking department.

But the latest injury update on midfielder Graham Dorrans has sent shockwaves across the club and reports have it that the Gers management are scrambling across the market to bring in a replacement.

Stevie Clifford, a regular on the Four Lads blog has claimed that Graham Dorrans could be sent to London for treatment of an injury and there’s a huge possibility that the 31-year-old could miss the whole 2018-19 season.

Talking to the Gersnet podcast, Clifford said: “I think we’ll be in the market for another midfielder

“A no.10 kind of role.”

“It looks like the Graham Dorrans’ ankle injury is pretty severe.

“That is the bad news received in the last two days. He is being sent to London by the club and from the player himself, we don’t expect to see him in this calendar year.

Dorrans signed for the Gers in the summer of 2017 from Norwich City for a fee of around £1.3 million but his first season at the club was marred with constant injuries.

Graham Dorrans picked up his first knock early on during the season and was only able to return towards the second half of the campaign. But his return to action had no silver lining as he injured himself again.

And now just when Gerrard was hoping to use the midfielder during the new season, he has been sidelined for almost a year.

Rangers recently sold Josh Windass to Wigan Athletic but now that Graham Dorrans is sidelined for the rest of the season, Gerrard needs to go out and sign a new midfielder before the end of this month.

As soon as the reports of Graham Dorrans’ injury surfaced some reports have started claiming that Rangers are planning to bring in a replacement but as of now there’s no concrete news on this matter from a major source.
