Liverpool beat Bayern Munich 3-1 at the Allianz Arena last night in order to move to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Reds came into the match with the aggregate scoreline at 0-0 and everyone expected Jurgen Klopp’s men to go for the kill from the very first minute.
And this is exactly what they did as a brace from Sadio Mane and one goal from Virgil Van Dijk ensured that Liverpool breezed into the quarter-finals.
With the win, the Reds have now become the fourth team to qualify for the next round following in the footsteps of Man United, Spurs and Man City.
And speaking after the games, midfielder James Milner claimed that Liverpool will need to avoid drawing their fellow Premier League rivals in the next round.

“It is good for English football,
“That’s what you want. I don’t think we want to play each other in the next round but we’ll see who we get.
“We have good feelings from last year so hopefully we can carry that on and go as far as we can.”
James Milner also claimed that he was happy with how the players chose to fight positively despite losing Jordan Henderson to an injury early on in the first half.
“It says a lot about the squad we have got,” Milner added.
“To lose the captain that early was difficult but we dealt with it well. Fabinho came on and did well then we scored.
“It was a good result. We didn’t play our best but it is about defending well and getting three points.
“This guy [Van Dijk] got another goal. To be honest, he should get more given his height!”
The Champions League draw for the quarter-finals will take place on Friday, March 15 at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
