Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has turned out to be a major flop at the club and now it looks like he is on his way out.
The midfielder the previous season out on loan to AC Milan and he had a really fine season at the San Siro.
It was more or less certain that he would remain at Milan permanently but since then a lot of things have gone wrong.
The Serie A outfit have failed to qualify for the Champions League and have also parted ways with Gattuso. And all this meant that Tiemoue Bayoko did not sign a permanent deal with Milan and headed back to Stamford Bridge.
And following this, his agent had hinted that the player could remain with the Blues despite interest from other clubs.
“There are some pretty interesting, quite heavy clubs that have inquired, but we give priority to Chelsea,” he told L’Equipe.
“We already know, there is the Champions League and we are looking for stability, Tiemoue has decided to stay there.”
And now it looks like Frank Lampard has decided that Tiemoue Bakayoko is of no use to him for the new season and is willing to let him leave on loan with Galatasary interested in signing him.
The Standard are reporting: “Galatasaray have opened talks with Chelsea over taking midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan this season.
“Bakayoko did report back for pre-season training with Chelsea last month, but hasn’t impressed under new coach Frank Lampard and played just 185 minutes.”
Yes, Lampard does have a number of midfielders at his disposal so theoretically he can afford to let Bakayoko leave.
But the Blues cannot sign any new player until the next summer so it would have been wise for the new boss to keep his options open by keeping hold of all of his players.
