Liverpool and Man United have been keeping tabs on RB Leipzig star Timo Werner for some time now and it is being believed that both these sides will make a move for the striker.

Timo Werner has been a star for Leipzig in the Bundesliga ever since he joined the club in 2016 and it is now more or less certain the player will try and move out during the January transfer window.

Initially, it was being claimed that Man United were close to signing the player but now as per the latest rumours, Timo Werner is not keen on joining the Old Trafford outfit since he wants to play for Jurgen Klopp.

The report claims Werner has snubbed Manchester United and is waiting for Liverpool to make a move in order to sign him at the start of the new year.

But playing for Liverpool will not be as easy as it seems since the Anfield outfit have put forward a few conditions in front of the 23-year-old which he must accept if he wishes to play for the club.

And one of these conditions is that Timo Werner should accept a squad role if he wishes to play for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Obviously any player who makes such a high-profile move will want to play regular football for his new side but Klopp has strictly warned against this.

If Timo Werner really has his heart set on playing for the Reds then the forward will have to initially play as a back-up to the likes of Firmino, Salah and Sadio Mane.

This basically means Timo Werner will once again have to prove his worth in case he signs for Liverpool and this might be especially frustrating given that he has already managed to net 15 goals in just 17 appearances for Leipzig this current season.

But if Werner chooses to join Manchester United then he could very easily be given consistent game time since United’s current No 9 Anthony Martial is more than capable of playing down the wings.
