Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt with a huge blow after it was revealed that Harry Kane has been ruled out with an injury.

The England international picked up a knock during the dying minutes of the game vs Man United and immediately there were concerns over the seriousness of the injury.

The club have now confirmed that Harry Kane’s injury is bad and he will be out for atleast two months.

This means the striker will only return to training sometime in March and by the time he gets his form pack, the current season could very well be over.

So now it looks like Pochettino has no other option but to sign a new striker during the January transfer window.

The club did not make a single signing during the summer and many blame that this inactiveness in the market has now stretched the Spurs squad.

But leaving all that behind, the manager desperately needs a striker since Fernando Llorente is his only fit frontman.

And reports are suggesting that the Lilywhites boss has turned his attention to West Ham man Andy Carroll.

Andy Carroll was expected to leave the London Stadium during the summer but that move collapsed after the player picked up an injury – forcing him to stay at the club for the rest of the season.

The forward has played just 10 games for the Hammers since returning from injury and most of them have been appearances off the bench.

Manuel Pellegrini has no visible use of Andy Carroll now that Marko Arnautovic will be staying at the club and the manager will be more than happy to let Andy Carroll leave this month.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at the London Stadium during the summer meaning West Ham might be able to get a few bucks out of Andy Carroll’s sale.

Reports though are divided on what the transfer could look like since some rumours have it that Pochettino is only interested in signing Carroll on a short-term loan spell while others claim that Daniel Levy is willing to splash out money for a permanent deal.
