Earlier today we had predicted how the Rangers FC might line up against NK Osijek on Thursday night but now it seems that our predictions have taken a massive stumble.

We and as a matter of fact, many people had suggested that Steven Gerrard will try and give most to his new signings a start in the Europa League clash.

This meant that midfielder Lassana Coulibaly will start alongside Ryan Jack while the winger from Liverpool, Ryan Kent would be brought into the match possibly in the second half. And striker Umar Sadiq would start up front in place of the misfiring Alfredo Morelos.

Morelos has been the first choice striker for the Gers manager during the past two games but he has done little to impress Steven Gerrard which has led many people to believe that youngster Umar Sadiq would replace him.

But now it has been revealed that the 21-year-old has not travelled with the Light Blues squad to Croatia.

While Coulibaly and Kent have made the journey with the rest of the squad, Umar Sadiq was nowhere to be seen. And these has gotten the Gers fans are a tad bit worried.

The second leg game against Shkupi ended 0-0 and that is when the fans realised that they severely lacked the cutthroat instinct with Alfredo Morelos up front.

And they were hoping that all of that could change with Umar Sadiq playing as the first choice striker on Thursday.

But clearly, that is not going happen now.

The real reason why Umar Sadiq has not travelled with the Rangers squad is still unclear but some reports claim that the player is just not match fit to play a competitive game yet.

The fans are just hoping that Alfredo Morelos can come good against Osijek on Thursday evening.
