Arsenal were humiliated in the Europa League final and Chelsea won the game 4-1 with all the goals coming in the second half.

The match was very evenly balanced during the first 45 minutes and everyone thought, Unai Emery, will once again be working his magic in the Europa League.

Unfortunately, that was not supposed to be as a certain Eden Hazard tore down the Gunners in the second half – scoring a brace and making an assist in what was his final game for the club.

A number of Arsenal players broke down in tears after the final whistle but Unai Emery revealed a totally different side of him after the game.

The Arsenal boss has mostly been very supportive of his players during the whole campaign but after such a humiliating loss, Unai Emery made it clear pretty clear that the club are planning for a massive clear out during the summer.

“Our idea is to continue to carry on and improve with the young players that have arrived,” Emery said(via Sky Sports). “Maybe some players need to leave but it’s not the moment to speak about that.

“We have the possibility for a lot of players to improve. We have young players getting the first experience of a final and I am positive for our future with young players getting better in our way.

“I am very proud of our work, not very proud to not achieve our target, but proud of our work because I think the players did all they could to achieve our target and we are closer to other teams.

“The next year we can continue with the same team with some players coming to help us get better.

“We have big players with experience and some young players. This year we will use to be closer to the other teams. The next year we need the same idea, to add some new players, but it’s the same way as this year, to do one step more.”

Unai Emery is expected to offload a number of big names during the summer which includes the likes of Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

But the big question is does he have enough money to rope in new signings given that he will now only get around 45 million pounds to spend given that Arsenal have failed to get back into the Champions League.
