Unai Emery took charge of Arsenal last summer but the Spanish boss is yet to make any major influential signings up until now.

And while the fans have expected to see some big-money moves this summer but Unai Emery is currently working on a tight budget.

The Gunners failed to qualify for the Champions League next season which means the boss only has around 45 million pounds to spend and this is making things really difficult for him.

Any major player that Unai Emery has targeted theoretically costs more than the club’s whole transfer budget meaning they have been prized out in most of the deals.

Now though, the Spanish boss has said that the club is expected to bring in a couple of new signings in the coming few days.

“We are preparing every player. Some players missed the chance to come [on tour],” Unai Emery said.

“The players that are here maybe the moment is for them to show how we can use them to help us now.

“We know with our experience last year it’s positive to continue in our way. We were only one point of the top four.

“I am positive to sign some good players to help us. We are working very well. I’m happy with the players.”

William Saliba is obviously going to be the major name amongst these signings but the young defender will be loaned back to St Etienne for the upcoming season.

Unai Emery is also looking to bring in Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace but the Selhurst Park outfit are currently holding out for a massive transfer price.

Laurent Koscielny is expected to leave after he handed in a transfer request so Arsenal are also out in the market looking for a like for like replacement.
