Man United have finally reached a major final under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they prepare to take on Villarreal in the Europa League showdown in Poland.

The Red Devils moved into this tournament after being knocked out of the Champions League but since then Ole’s side have found a great patch of form and after beating teams like Milan and Roma, the Premier League side now have the chance to pick up a major silverware this season.

The Manchester United manager is obviously concerned with the injury to Harry Maguire but in general, also, many experts believe Ole could be having sleepless nights in trying to determine his starting line-up for the final, especially since Unai Emery knows their game inside out.

Solskjaer though has waved off these issues claiming that he still has time to figure out his starting line-up for the Europa League final so selecting the best 11 players will not be a big issue for him.

The manager said in a press conference: “To be fair, when you get to a final and you have most of them fit, I’m in a good position. The hardest thing is to win.

“They’ve had a long season, everyone has played, contributed, and of course we have to pick the best team that we think is the best one to play against a very good Villarreal side.

“We still have a couple of games in the league to finalise what the XI in the final will be. We’ll have to sit down with the individual.

“All my players, they know that they have been important for us this season. We couldn’t have gotten to a final, second place in the league, without everyone’s contribution every day, because that’s the culture we’re in. They’ve been competitive but very supportive as well.”

It’s true that the Man United manager has backups for every position but the fringe players have not been at the top of their game all throughout the season.

Players like Telles, Mata and Matic are a luxury to have when playing against the weaker sides but there’s no way Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to name one of them in the starting line-up against Villarreal.

Manchester United’s first XI is more or less set for the time being and barring any late injury problems, the manager is not going to make any radical changes, in terms of personnel or tactics.
