Bruno Fernandes Man United

Bruno Fernandes has taken to life in the Premier League like a duck to water and it looks like Manchester United’s fortunes have been totally turned around.

Ever since the arrival of the Portuguese, the Red Devils have looked a more menacing side and it’s safe to say that Bruno Fernandes is doing the job that Paul Pogba was supposed to do at the club.

But recently some reports along with ex-United man Nani had hinted that Manchester City were also on the hunt to sign the playmaker but in the end, he chose to move to Old Trafford.

And when Guardiola was asked this very same question, here’s what the Man City boss had to say.

“I said many times it looks like we are linked with a thousand million players every month,” Guardiola told reports before the Manchester derby, via Goal.

“I don’t know if the agents want to create something to do that.

“But I think the club was not in talks with his agent about this player, but they link this guy and a thousand million more.

“I don’t know what it means ‘my type of player’. I like defenders too and good headers.

“I don’t believe too much that these players are perfect for this team and manager. But I think he is an exceptional player and that is why Man United bought him.”

Bruno Fernandes impact:

After chasing him all throughout the summer, Man United finally got their hands on the former Sporting man during the January transfer window but no one really expected him to make such an instant impact.

Fans and pundits hoped, Bruno Fernandes would need the remained of the season to settle down in England much like every other foreign player. But it looks like, he’s started exactly where he left off at Sporting, scoring two and assisting two goals in just four Premier League games so far.

With him up in attack, not only are the attackers looking more menacing but even the defenders are growing more confident and assured with each passing game.
