Dele Alli Spurs vs Man United

England take on Colombia in their Round of 16 game of the World Cup on Tuesday evening and there is a sense of belief amongst the English fans that this year their team has a very realistic chance of ending their trophy drought.

The Three Lions have been in fine form throughout the season, except for their hiccup against Belgium where Gareth Southgate chose to rest many of his regular first-team players.

But against Colombia, most of them are expected to return to the starting XI – including Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

And the English duo will be facing off against their Spurs teammate, Davinson Sanchez.

Dele Alli has revealed that he and his Spurs teammates know every move of Sanchez and will be looking to exploit that when England take on Colombia.

Alli said“I think he [Sanchez] is a great player, I don’t think any player is perfect, we know things, we know how he plays and he has a lot of strengths. We’re going to look to do as well as we can to exploit his very few weaknesses,

“He’s really impressed me since he has come in — he is a great player, he is physical, he is strong, he is good on the ball.”

The 22-year-old centre-back who joined Spurs last summer quickly became a first team regular under Mauricio Pochettino.

On Tuesday he will be face to face against England captain Harry Kane who in itself is a hard person to mark and given the fact that Kane knows every aspect of Davison Sanchez’s game, the defender will have to be on his toes every time.
