It was just yesterday that reports had suggested West Ham United have reopened talks to sign PSG midfielder Javier Pastore but now it seems the Argentine is Serie A bound.

After spending heavily last summer PSG are on the brink of a Financial Fair Play breach and reports have it that the French club needs to raise around €60 million from player sales if they wish to avoid the penalty.

PSG have already sold Odsonne Edouard to Celtic for around €10 million and by the looks of it, Javier Pastore might be the next player that moves out of Paris.

But as things stand the 28-year-old will not be joining the Hammers.

Skysports had suggested that West Ham were preparing a bid in the region of 17 million pounds which they hoped would be enough to bring Javier Pastore to the London Stadium.

Now though, multiple Italian reports are of the view that AS Roma have beaten the Hammers in the race to sign the midfielder.

The deal is expected to be in the region of €20m plus €5m in bonuses and Javier Pastore is likely to sign a four-year deal with the Serie A outfit.

Pastore is essentially an attacking midfielder but has the ability to play in various roles across the attacking third and it is this versatility that attracted the attention of West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Italian journalist Gianluca DiMarzio has also gone onto claim that Javier Pastore’s agent has flown to Roma in order to negotiate a deal and the transfer is expected to be wrapped up by the end of this week.
