West Ham United will host Liverpool at the London Stadium this week and the Hammers would be itching to pick up a win.

This though will be easier said than done since it is Liverpool we are talking about and on top of that the London outfit have lost three of their past matches – one of them being a 4-2 defeat vs Wimbledon.

The Hammers have a number of injury concerns going into this game and Manuel Pellegrini will surely have a tough time selecting the XI which could potentially give Liverpool a hard time.

West Ham news vs Liverpool:

The first major blow for West Ham United is the injury to Samir Nasri.

The former Man City man picked up a knock in only his second game for the Hammers and now it is more or less confirmed that he will not feature in the matchday squad vs Liverpool on Monday.

The absence of Nasri could mean that Snodgrass moves in the central attacking midfielder’s role while Michael Antonio will play down the right flank.

Felipe Anderson has been in fine form this season and should retain his spot on the left flank.

Declan Rice scored the only goal for West Ham during their club’s last victory which came against Arsenal and the youngster will play in central midfield alongside Mark Noble.

The back four should remain unchanged from the Hammer’s previous game vs Wolves.

Ogbonna and Issa Diop will play in central defence while Pablo Zabaleta and Masuaku will play at right-back and left-back respectively.

Marko Arnautovic’s injury is not serious according to reports but the Liverpool game might come too early for him. This means Manuel Pellegrini will have to play Andy Carroll up front as the lone striker.
