West Ham United will take on Manchester City in the Premier League and Pellegrini will be eager to settle some scores with his former club.

With the form that the Citizens are in right now, it is nearly impossible for someone to beat them and that too in their own backyard. But Pellegrini is one master tactician and that talent combined with his urge to beat his old bosses can very well be the winning formula for the Hammers.

West Ham United are currently ninth on the league table and a win vs Man City would take them within touching distance of that elusive seventh spot.

West Ham team news vs Man City:

The likes of Jack Wilshere, Yarmolenko and Sanchez remain long-term absentees but Pellegrini has learned to work without these players so these injuries should not be too much of a worry.

Balbuena is close to full fitness and some reports claim that the centre-back could return vs Man City. But unless a 100 per cent confident, Pellegrini will not risk him against the attacking force that City have.

This means the back-line will remain unchanged from the game vs Fulham.

Mark Noble and Declan Rice will start in midfield and even though Samir Nasri is expected to be fit by Wednesday but we believe Pellegrini will go forward with Robert Snodgrass in attacking midfield.

Michael Antonio and Felipe Anderson have become regular starters for West Ham and the duo will once again be deployed on the wings.

Marko Arnuatovic came on as a substitute during the Fulham match but the Austin will surely start upfront vs Manchester City on Wednesday.
