Liverpool travel to the London Stadium in order to take on West Ham United this Monday.

And Jurgen Klopp’s men will be eager to get things back on track after their 1-1 draw vs Leicester City in midweek.

Against the Foxes, Jurgen Klopp named a makeshift defensive line wherein Jordan Henderson at right-back.

But that situation will surely change against the Hammers.

Liverpool’s first choice right-back Trent Alexander Arnold is recovering from a knee injury but the manager has made it clear that he will not be travelling with the squad to London.

Talking to the club’s official website, Klopp said: “Trent is getting better and better and better.

“He is really close and I hope he is in full training next week, but not for Monday.”

But the Reds will have James Milner return back from suspension and the versatile midfielder will immediately slot into the right-back role.

The other injury absentee is defender Joe Gomez who has been on the sidelined for close to two months.

Joe Gomez suffered a broken ankle in December and now the manager has confirmed that he will not be available when Jurgen Klopp’s men will take on West Ham United.

Joel Matip and Virgil Van Dijk played in central defence during the 1-1 draw vs the Foxes but given that Matip has just returned back from an injury, the manager will look to rest him and play Dejan Lovren in his place.

Apart from these two injuries, Liverpool have more or less a fit squad and by the time they finish the game against West Ham United on Monday, the Anfield outfit could very well be eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table – given on how the Arsenal vs Man City match pans out.
