West Ham United are looking to make a January move for Club Brugge forward Noa Lang according to a report from Voetbal Nieuws.

It’s no secret that the Hammers are preparing for a busy January transfer window and one of their priorities is to bring in a backup for Michail Antonio.

The report claims that West Ham are impressed with the 22-year-old even though Brugge have reportedly set a price tag of around £34 million.

Who is Noa Lang?

Noa Lang is a product of the famed Ajax academy and he joined Brugge on a loan deal in 2020 before making the move permanent this summer.

Lang is primarily a left-winger but he has the capability of playing various roles in the final third, including as a centre-forward.

Last season, he scored 16 goals in 29 league matches and this campaign he’s already netted three in 12 appearances.

He’s been rated as an exceptional talent by many who have seen him play and he’s someone who can really add oomph to West Ham’s forward line.

West Ham United serious about signing the 22-year-old?

As per the report, Club Brugge will demand around £34 million if a club comes calling at the start of the new year and as things stand the Hammers are not expected to spend that much money on a backup forward.

They shied away from signing Jesse Lingard in the summer because Man United had quoted £30 million, so there’s no way Moyes will sanction more than that for a 22-year-old Noa Lang.

Lang’s current market value is £22.5 million so Brugge will have to lower their demands if they want West Ham United to spend the big bucks in January.

Brugge though will not be in any hurry since the forward’s current contract with the club expires in 2025 and it’s the Hammers who need to find a partner for Michail Antonio.
