Arsenal might be on a superb run during the new Premier League season but off the pitch, the club are stuck amongst a very weird battle with midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Aaron Ramsey’s current contract with Arsenal ends next summer and up until now, everyone was hopeful the midfielder would sign a new deal with the club pretty soon.

But recent reports have sent shock waves amongst the Arsenal fans with some claiming the Gunners no longer want Aaron Ramsey to stay at the club.

The club have virtually shelved the idea of a new deal for the midfielder and have reportedly told the player that he is free to leave either in January or at the end of the current season.

And this news have rightly prompted many a club to move closer to Aaron Ramsey in the hopes of bagging his services during the January transfer window.

The top club in this list are Liverpool who if some reports are to be believed wanted to sign Ramsey in the summer but Unai Emery blocked the move.

Jurgen Klopp is supposedly a huge admirer of the 27-year-old and feels he will be a perfect fit in the Liverpool midfield.

And now that Arsenal have told Aaron Ramsey he is free to leave, Liverpool are planning to make one more effort to bring the player to Anfield.

Italian club AC Milan are also said to be in the hunt alongside Everton and Chelsea.

While Chelsea are not believed to be close to signing Aaron Ramsey but many feel Maurizio Sarri is looking at the Welsh International as an ideal replacement to many of his ageing players.

Arsenal’s London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Aaron Ramsey and Mauricio Pochettino wants the midfielder to become his first signing of this season -after the club failed to acquire a single player during the summer transfer window.

But as things stand, Liverpool look to be the front-runners to sign Aaron Ramsey during the January transfer window.
