Arsenal manager Unai Emery needs to win the Europa League later this month in order to get back into the Champions League.

But if the Gunners fail to achieve this target then surely it will be a big blow for the manager in the transfer market this summer.

If reports are to believed then Emery will be given a transfer kitty of around 50 million pounds in case the club cannot get back to playing in the top-tier of European football.

And keeping this mind, the Spanish boss has already started scouting players who could be bought for a small price tag.

One of the players that Arsenal have been monitoring for some time now is Lorient midfielder Alexis Claude-Maurice.

The 20-year-old is primarily a central midfielder but this season he has thrived in a more attacking role scoring 14 goals and making 4 assists for the French side.

And right now Alexis Claude-Maurice is being rated as one of the best young midfielders in his homeland of France.

Alexis Claude-Maurice is a product of the Lorient academy, the same club which sold Matteo Guendouzi to Arsenal last summer.

And this is why Emery feels that the League 2 side will also be ready to sell off Alexis Claude-Maurice if the Gunners can offer then the right price.

As per reports, Alexis Claude-Maurice is being valued at around 9 million pounds which could be a steal for the Gunners but right now they aren’t the only club interested in signing him.

Norwich City have been keeping tabs on the youngster for a really long time now and it is being believed that they are preparing a bid.

Arsenal will any day outweigh Norwich in the transfer market but given that Norwich are also willing to pay the same transfer amount, Lorient will most probably sell to the club who make the first approach.
