Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are two of the big English clubs who are likely to land centre-forward Serhou Guirassy during the upcoming summer transfer window – as per reports.

The 24-year-old currently plays for Ligue 1 side Amiens and during the 2019-20 season, he has managed to net nine goals in 23 league matches for the French club. And in doing so, Guirassy seems to have attracted the attention of a number of big Premier League clubs.

Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham United have all been linked with the forward over the past few months and recently even Amiens President Bernard Joannin admitted there’s English interest in the striker.

The Amiens president told GFFN: “I’ll reply to you very precisely. In January we agreed terms with an English club and it is Serhou Guirassy – who is an exceptional character, with great values, he’s fantastic – he said to me ‘listen president, I want to stay at Amiens as I want to help my friends to survive this year’.

“So he stayed, he turned down a very lucrative contract with an English club. There are several English clubs that want him, like West Ham who are very clear on that.

“There are other clubs, including offers from other French clubs. And if people make an offer at the right price I will allow Serhou to leave.”

Which club is likely to land Serhou Guirassy?

The 24-year-old is valued at around £15 million by the French club and this relatively low asking price has spiked the interest of a number of clubs including Arsenal who are looking for a replacement to Alexandre Lacazette.

Right now, it’s West Ham United who are the frontrunners in signing Serhou Guirassy from Amiens, according to the buzz in France but the Gunners could try and perform a coup at the very last moment.

The low price tag seems to have gotten the attention of Mikel Arteta but the Spanish manager will only try and sign him if he is convinced that Lacazette will be heading out in the summer.

Spurs signed Steven Bergwijn during the January transfer window and if Mourinho can hold onto Harry Kane beyond the summer then the Lilywhites are also not likely to launch a bid for Serhou Guirassy.
