Arsenal have agreed on a deal to sign Declan Rice from WHUFC and right now, the final details regarding the fee structure are being discussed.

Rice was transfer priority number one for Mikel Arteta and the only thing standing between them and the England international is the way the Gunners will fulfil the £105 million transfer fee to the Hammers.

Jordan Davies is claiming that the two clubs should finalise the payment terms on Monday so if everything goes according to plan then Arsenal will officially announce the signing of Declan Rice at the start of the week.

WHUFC have had to let go of their biggest asset but in return, they have bagged an eye-popping transfer fee and this money will go a long way in helping David Moyes rebuild his squad for the 23/24 season.

Who can replace Declan Rice at WHUFC next campaign?

It will definitely be hard to replace a generational talent like Rice but with so much money in his bag, the Hammers boss can very well afford to revamp and restructure his whole midfield(if the need arises).

Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse is one of the names that has been discussed internally at WHUFC but the Saints have set a £40 million price tag on the midfielder which is very high for someone who has just been relegated and is also 28 years old.

He’s still a fine talent but the Hammers will have to spend a significant portion of the £105 million on JWP which is something Moyes might not be too keen to do.

WHUFC have been linked with Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana and this one could be a great signing because the 24-year-old is highly rated and is a proper box-to-box midfielder. Apart from running up and down, Fofana is also apt at playing the anchor role which means his versatility can be of great use.

However, Newcastle United are also keen to sign the French international and if their interest is real then the midfielder will undoubtedly choose Champions League football over a move to West Ham United.

Ajax Edson Alvarez is also on Moyes’ radar and they have just received a big boost because Borussia Dortmund have decided to scrap their interest in the midfielder.

Alvarez is someone who is highly experienced because the 25-year-old has already won two Eredivisie titles and he’s played under Erik ten Hag. He could be the most realistic target for David Moyes because his price tag is very reasonable and if a club like BVB have been scouting him then rest assured that he is going to come good given the right atmosphere and game time.
