Man United dropped points once again – this time drawing 1-1 against Everton at home on Sunday. And forward Anthony Martial was one of the poorest players on the pitch for the Red Devils.

The French forward has shown glimpses of brilliance during the course of the current season but against the Toffees he was particularly poor and this has not gone down too well with the Man United fans.

Anthony Martial played the full game on Sunday but failed to register a single shot on target but on the other hand, it was Mason Greenwood who scored the equaliser for Man United from his only shot on goal.

And according to many people, it’s time for Greenwood to move up the pecking order and replace Anthony Martial up front.

While Ryan Giggs does not believe such a radical step is required right now but the Frenchman does need to work extra hard thanks to his languid style of play.

“He is talented, and he’s not a bad kid, but the problem he has is that he looks lethargic all the time,” Giggs told the Premier League, via Daily Mail.

“He looks casual as if he’s not bothered.

“When it comes off, and he’s doing brilliant things, you say it just comes naturally. But when it’s not, you think: he’s not running, he’s not trying, he’s not working hard enough, he’s not holding the ball up.

“So in my eyes, he has to try extra hard because of his persona, because of the way that he moves.

“But he doesn’t look like he breaks sweat and when United are chasing a game you want someone to get across the front post — you might not score, but your team-mates might score.”

Ryan Giggs has obviously worked with Anthony Martial when Louis van Gaal was the manager at the club so the United legend certainly knows what he’s talking about.

And even we think, it isn’t time for Anthony Martial to be dropped to the bench but Solksjaer is certainly not afraid to give youth a chance meaning the Frenchman needs to get his act straight asap.
