OGC Nice are planning to make a move for Celtic FC midfielder Olivier Ntcham as Patrick Viera looks to reunite with the 24-year-old according to reports in France.

Daily Record has cited Le10Sport where they claim that the Nice boss is planning to make a move for Ntcham during the summer and the French club are confident about signing him up.

Daily Record have written: “Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham is a target for Ligue 1 side Nice – according to a report in France.

“Le10sport claim the 24-year-old Hoops star is high on their signing agenda as they put together their summer transfer wishlist.

“And a return to his homeland would reunite Ntcham with his mentor and idol Patrick Vieira – who was in charge of him during his days in the Manchester City academy.”

Will Celtic FC part ways with Olivier Ntcham?

Olivier Ntcham is under contract at Celtic FC until the summer of 2022 and this season he has had a resurgence of sorts under his new boss Neil Lennon.

So there’s no way the Bhoys will be ready to part ways with the 24-year-old and in the past, they have made this clear to teams like Porto and Marseille who are still interested in signing him.

But Ntcham is a huge admirer of Viera from the days he was playing under the Frenchman at Man City and some experts believe, the midfielder could choose to leave Celtic FC in order to work with his idol.

While he’s not shown any signs of trying to secure a move in the summer but this stance could change overnight if OGC Nice were to make an official approach.

Thankfully the lockdown has not impacted the finances of Celtic meaning the Scottish club will not be forced to offload Ntcham due to the necessity of funds.
