Rangers FC are planning to send winger Sheyi Ojo back to Liverpool once the current Scottish season officially comes to end – as per Football Insider.

They are claiming: “Sheyi Ojo is likely to have played his last game for Rangers as Scottish chiefs prepare to terminate the season next week, Football Insider understands.

“Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that the club have no plans to convert Ojo’s loan into a permanent transfer.”

The youngster joined Rangers FC last summer on a season-long loan deal and at first, he looked a really promising figure for the Gers.

But ever since then, the winger has seen a dip in form and right now he is behind the likes of Ianis Hagi and Florian Kamberi in the pecking order.

Ojo has been with Liverpool since 2015 but over the course of the last five years, all he has done is move around England in various loan spells but nowhere has been able to impress.

Gerrard expected this bad streak would break at Ibrox and, to be honest, he has managed to net five goals and provide seven assists in 36 matches for Rangers FC.

But up until now, the 22-year-old just hasn’t had the kind of impact which one would expect from a top forward man.

The SPFL are presumed to conclude the season by the end of next week following which Steven Gerrard is expected to waste no time in sending Ojo back to Liverpool.

Sheyi Ojo is currently the only out and out right winger at Rangers FC which is why some people think, Steven Gerrard should give this transfer a second thought. But despite being an attacking midfielder, Ianis Hagi has done a great job when playing on the right-hand side.

Also, Kamberi has played a couple of games down the right flank and him along with Hagi should be more than enough to fill up the void left behind by the Liverpool lad.
