Harry Kane has been leading the top goalscorer race in the Premier League for a number of years but then Liverpool brought in Mo Salah.

The Reds signed Mo Salah from AS Roma in the summer of 2017 and during his first year of the season, the Egyptian nicked the top goalscorer award by scoring 32 goals in the league while Harry Kane ended with a tally of 30.

Last season was even worse for the Spurs captain as he only managed to score just 17 goals as he season was mostly plagued by injuries.

Mo Salah has obviously turned around the fate of Liverpool ever since he joined the Anfield outfit and now pundit Garry Lineker has revealed that if given an option, he would choose the Egyptian over Harry Kane.

Here’s why:

“God, they’re so different, even if their numbers are similar. If I had to buy one I’d probably have Mo Salah,” Lineker said.

“For only one reason, that Harry’s got a little ankle issue.

“If you guaranteed me no injuries I’d take Kane, but you’re asking me the question if I had to buy one now I’d take Salah because he’s strong and he’s not had those injuries.

“Once you have two or three injuries in any part of your body, it can be debilitating and reoccur.

“I’m not talking about who’s the better footballer, because they’re very different players, both great players, but just because of that slight doubt about Harry’s fitness I would pick Mo.”

Harry Kane’s last campaign was severely injury prone which is not only affected his personal performance but also for Tottenham Hotspur.

On the other hand, Mo Salah has been in top form for the last two seasons but many have doubts regarding the impact that he might have this time around given that he was in action during the summer for Egypt in the AFCON.
