Man United will take on Chelsea this Sunday and almost everyone currently has their eyes set on Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean has not been able to make a mark of himself every since he joined the club from Arsenal in January of 2018. And last season he was easily one of the poorest players in the squad.

Alexis Sanchez failed to impress both Jose Mourinho and Ole Solskjaer which is why the club desperately wanted to sell him off this summer transfer window.

But Man United failed to find a buyer for him which is why he has rejoined the squad and is now set to play a part under the Norwegian boss for the rest of the season.

While some reports had claimed that Sanchez had been keeping himself fit back home and will likely start this weekend vs the Blues.

The manager though has made it clear that Alexis Sanchez is lacking match fitness hinting at the fact that the forward will have to sit out the season opener.

“Alexis has come in and trained well,” the manager said to the club’s official website.

“Of course, he’s four or five weeks behind the boys and he’s not played apart from a one behind-closed-doors [friendly] here, so I think he’ll see this as an opportunity, as well, to make his mark.”

Alexis Sanchez normally plays down the left flank but now that he will be absent, Anthony Martial will be deployed in that space.

Some reports claim that it will be Daniel James who will play on the left-wing while Anthony Martial plays as the centre-forward and Marcus Rashford on the right flank.

This will obviously be a make or break season for Alexis Sanchez but we doubt if he will survive at the club for the whole campaign as Solskjaer will most certainly look to offload him during the January transfer window.
