Jack Grealish to Man City
Jack Grealish playing for Aston Villa

Jack Grealish scored against West Ham United and thereby helped Aston Villa remain in the Premier League for one more season.

But despite his heroics for his boyhood club, the 24-year-old is on the verge of leaving during the upcoming transfer window.

Clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are being constantly linked with the playmaker but according to former United man Paul Parker, Jack Grealish is not worth 80 million pounds – the prize which is being quoted by Villa.

“Everyone keeps talking about Jack Grealish and I really don’t see it,” Parker said exclusively on this week’s Talking Devils podcast, as reported.

“I’ve not seen enough to say he will be more than a squad player. I don’t know where he would be supposed to play and I’m not sure I’ve seen him do enough.

“I hope I’m wrong if United do sign him, but he has to come for the right price. He’s not a £80m – you wouldn’t spend half of that on him. He could potentially develop into a player like that, but he isn’t there at this moment in time.”

Dean Smith has made it clear that the future of Jack Grealish will be decided by the end of next month but we do not think any club will be ready to pay £80 odd million for the 24-year-old this time around.

‘I said to him he would come to the party and score,’ Smith told BBC Sport after the match via Metro. ‘He has been getting better and better. He has come good when he needed to.

‘It (his future) will all be sorted over the next month. Tonight we will enjoy a magnificent achievement. It feels better than when we went up through the play-offs.’

After signing Fernandes, Solskjaer does not have much need for Grealish while Jose Mourinho is also not expected to spend so much money on someone like him this summer.

And the other interested clubs like Leicester City and Crystal Palace do not have the capacity to spend that much money in a single transfer window. So either Aston Villa will have to lower their demands or Jack Grealish will have to remain at Villa Park for one more season.
