Arsenal brought in left-back Kieran Tierney last summer from Celtic FC but already there are talks of him heading to Leicester City next season.

Kieran Tierney has endured a really tough time in the Premier League as he has managed to play in only five league matches this season, primarily due to a series of injuries.

And as per the latest rumours, Mikel Arteta does not seem too impressed with the 23-year-old and might let him join the Foxes in the summer as his former Celtic boss is eager to reconvene with him.

While this could be a major possibility but according to Emirates legend Ray Parlour, the Gunners are not expected to part ways with Kieran Tierney.

Parlour told talkSPORT: “Well he’s going to be playing Champions League football with Leicester next season if he did move, but I’d be amazed if Arsenal let him go,

“It’ll have to be a big fee that Leicester have to try and prize him away. ‘I can’t see that, I really can’t.

“I think once he’s fit again and once he gets a few games, they’ve got [Sead] Kolasinac on that side as well, but what I’ve seen of him so far when he’s played, he looks a very exciting player.

“His age as well will come into it, he’s only a young lad, he’s going to get a few injuries here and there, but I would definitely keep him.

“I would give him a run in the team once he’s fit and have a look at him properly,

“But if Brendan Rodgers has a little chink in his armour to say, Right Arsenal are thinking about letting him go’, then who knows what will happen, football doesn’t surprise you anymore, does it?”

Will Arteta sell off Kieran Tierney?

Brendan Rodgers desperately wants to get his hands on the left-back but there’s a couple of reasons why this deal will not likely happen.

The first big reason is that the player has hardly gotten a chance to showcase his talent due to his injuries. And this is why Arteta should logically give him one more season in order to adapt to life in England.

Yes, the manager does have Bukayo Saka and Sead Kolasinac who operate in the same position but some reports claim Mikel Arteta wants to use Saka further up the pitch next season which is another reason why he will not risk selling Kieran Tierney.

Also, Arsenal are expected to work with a minimal budget this summer, so the last thing the club will want is to spend unnecessary money in order to bring in replacements.
