Liverpool and PSG are scheduled to go head to head this week in Paris and this could be the game that decides the final shape of Group C.

Liverpool are tied on points with Napoli at the top of the group while PSG are just behind them on five points.

This means that a win for Liverpool would mean PSG will fail to qualify for the knockout stages under their new boss Thomas Tuchel.

And a win for PSG would mean that Jurgen Klopp side will have to pick up a win during the final home against Napoli and then depend on the result of the PSG vs Red Star game.

But right before the game, the Anfield outfit have provided some good news for its fans.

The club’s official website have announced on Monday that the team will be wearing the red home kit when they take on PSG in the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

The statement read“Liverpool will wear their home kit for Wednesday’s Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain in France.

“The hosts have elected to sport their all-white away strip.

“It means Jürgen Klopp’s side will be in all-red at the Parc des Princes.

“In the first meeting between the teams in September, the Reds won 3-2.”

But why are PSG opting to wear their all-white kit?

While PSG have not offered any official reason but many speculate that this has something to do with boosting the sales of their third kit.

Fans are claiming that this is just a marketing ploy to make their all-white kit more popular.

But others feel that the third kit which is associated with Jordan needs to be worn in the maximum number of European games possible – as per the contract.
