Arsenal have submitted a bid of £40 million in order to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha – as per reports.

Zaha has been linked with a move to Manchester United during the past couple of months with many rumours claiming that Solskjaer wants to bring back the player despite his failures at the club a couple of seasons ago.

But the player’s brother recently claimed that playing for Arsenal is a dream for the 26-year-old which has led many people to believe that the Gunners might just be in the driver’s seat in terms of signing Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha’ brother Judicael told Sky Sports News: “Wilfried will always hold Crystal Palace and their fans in the highest regard and all the support they have given means the world to him.

“It’s my brother’s dream though, to play for Arsenal.

“Given all that Wilfried has given to Crystal Palace to help them remain a Premier League club, I hope Palace will be able to see their way to agreeing on a deal with Arsenal that allows Wilfried to realise his dream of playing European Football for the club he’s supported since childhood.”

And now Wilfried Zaha has dropped a huge hint by claiming that his future at Palace is uncertain indicating to a possible summer exit.

‘I don’t know we’ll see in the future,’ Zaha told the BBC(as reported by the Metro).

‘I have no comment on it the only thing that’s on my mind now is trying to win this cup. I’m fixated on is how far we go in the tournament.’

While most Arsenal fans are pleased that their club are trying to sign a talent like Wilfried Zaha but former Gunner Ray Parlour feels that the Ivorian international is not Emery’s top priority.

“He would be a good signing but it all depends on how much he is going to go for,” he told Sky Sports News.

“It’s reportedly [going to cost as much as] £100m – which is a lot of money. It’s a lot of money to splash out on one player.

“You might look at other players and other [defensive] positions that need strengthening as well. Depending on the budget we have to wait and see what happens but he is certainly a very good player with a lot of quality.”
