Is this England international set to reject a move to Liverpool at the end of this season?

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka is one of Mikel Arteta’s most prized assets in his current squad and this is why the manager is really eager to make him sign a new deal.

His current contract expires in 2024 but the club are already making plans to offer him a new lucrative contract. The Gunners are in such a hurry because Liverpool have suddenly started showing interest in the England international.

It’s being claimed that Klopp is a big fan of Bukayo Saka and if the youngster refuses to sign a new deal then Liverpool will try and sign him during the summer transfer window.

This was really bad news for the North London side but now Fabrizio Romano has updated that Bukayo Saka is happy with his situation at the Emirates not looking to leave any time soon.

“It’s always Liverpool rumours, this is what I was asking and the answer I received was that Bukayo loves Arsenal,” Romano said while a guest on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, as quoted.

“He loves the club, he’s a good guy and a genuine guy, and this is why he’s not planning to leave in the summer. He’s not focused on a new deal now because he wants to focus on the season, but at the end of the season he will have a meeting with Arsenal and discuss a new deal.”

Arsenal are playing some really wonderful football during the second half of the season and if they can secure a Champions League spot for the next campaign then we don’t see Bukayo Saka leaving.

He will also be ready to sign a new deal should the Gunners finish in the top-four and this will be an added bonus for Mikel Arteta.

Liverpool are possibly looking at Bukayo Saka as the long-term heir to Mo Salah but the Egyptian is not going to leave this summer so if Saka wants to join the Anfield outfit then he will effectively have to be a benchwarmer next season. Given that he has started 23 Premier League games for Arsenal this time around, we don’t think he will want to play second fiddle to Salah.
