According to reports, Chelsea will rival fellow English teams Manchester City and Liverpool in the signing of Bayern’s Jamal Musiala.

Jamal Musiala has been heavily linked with an exit from Bayern in the summer and up until now, it’s Manchester City who are said to be leading the race while Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the situation.

Now, it seems like Chelsea have also joined the long list of admirers as they are working towards another summer revamp. The Blues are planning to offload multiple players at the end of the season so that they can balance their books and if the Blues can get the right value for all of them then they will reportedly have a lot of excess money to spend in the market.

The youngster is actually a product of Chelsea’s youth system before he went on to join Bayern’s U19 team during the 2019/20 season. He’s also played extensively for the England youth teams before choosing to represent the Germany senior side, a team where he is a regular these days.

Bayern are having a dismal season under Thomas Tuchel and they are only fighting in the Champions League right now but despite their dodgy form, Jamal Musiala has been great. The young attacking midfielder has had 19 goal contributions in 36 games across all competitions this season and there’s no denying that he is one of the future stars for Bayern as well as Germany. He is mainly an attacking midfielder but can also operate on either wing which this versatility is great to have.

Pochettino has been using Gallagher in the No 10 role and a player like Musiala will be a major upgrade any day. Pep Guardiola, who happens to be a huge admirer of the youngster wants him to replace Bernardo Silva who is expected to leave the club at the end of this campaign.

Liverpool do not have a world-class No 10 this season and that has been a major blow to Klopp’s plans but when the new manager arrives he will definitely need a proper attacking midfielder in his ranks.

All three teams will be more than happy to go into a bidding war for Jamal Musiala whose contract expires in 2026 and whose current market value stands at €110 million. However, there’s no way Bayern will sell one of their most prized possessions in the summer.

“Jamal Musiala is NOT for sale. He is supposed to become the face of FC Bayern in the future. Jamal is a player who brings extremely great joy, it’s our intention to make him the new face of Bayern,” Bayern’s director Max Eberl said in an interview with Sky Germany last month.

This statement has obviously done very little to stop all the rumours but Bayern Munich have made it clear that they are not going to consider any offers for the youngster during the upcoming transfer window. Musiala currently earns €5m per year and he happens to be one of the lowest earners in the squad but the Bundesliga side are already preparing a new and upgraded contract for the 21-year-old which they wish to table in the coming months.

Liverpool, Chelsea and especially Manchester City will definitely knock on Bayern’s door to see if they wish to sell Jamal Musiala but unless one of them is offering a crazy figure, we don’t think the Bavarians will budge.
