Chelsea take on West Ham United in the English Premier League on Wednesday and the Blues could be without Christensen and Christian Pulisic.

Andreas Christensen missed Chelsea’s 1-0 win vs Leicester City due to a hip injury while Christian Pulisic had to be taken off the pitch during the second half of the match.

And speaking after the win, the Chelsea boss did provide updates on both the players making it clear that neither of the injuries is serious in nature.

“Christian felt a bit of tightness in his calf in the second drinks break so I took him off straight away,” Lampard said, as per Football London. “We will find out over the next day or so how that is.

“Hopefully it is nothing that puts him out because we can see what he is doing in the last two games.

“With Andreas, he is having a small problem up in around his hip. He tried to train yesterday and didn’t feel comfortable so he is out of the squad.”

Tomori is out injured meaning if Christensen cannot be fit in time then Kurt Zouma will once again have to partner Antonio Rudiger in central defence.

Even though Christian Pulisic should be available for selection but we do not think Frank Lampard will want to risk using him since the American has been his best player since the resumption.

Chelsea still have to play teams like Liverpool, Man United & Wolves plus they are still alive in the Champions League which is why Lampard will not want to take unnecessary risks with the forward.

If Pulisic is not selected in the starting XI then it will most probably be Mason Mount who will slot into that left-sided winger’s role at the London Stadium.
