Arsenal brought in Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid last summer and the Gunners have shown a clear intent of signing him on a permanent deal.

Ceballos has performed up to the mark since the resumption of the Premier League season but the midfielder is yet to decide what the future holds for him.

He told El Partidazo de COPE, as reported by talkSPORT: “I haven’t spoken to Real Madrid yet, but anyone who wears that shirt is happy.

“Madrid are better than any club in the world. We’ll see about my future.

“I’m not thinking about whether or not I can play for Real Madrid, Arsenal or another club.

“Now it’s time to disconnect. I have to be calm and think clearly with my family about the coming year.”

Will Dani Ceballos return to Arsenal next season?

Dani Ceballos has featured in 24 Premier League games this season for the Gunners but has managed to provide only two assists.

On paper, this might seem pretty bad stats but during the past couple of months, the 23-year-old has been a constant figure in central midfield for the Gunners, alongside Granit Xhaka.

Also, Zinedine Zidane has no use of Ceballos so the Real Madrid manager will not hesitate to let him leave for Arsenal on a permanent basis.

But the big problem is if Arsenal can afford to pay the transfer fee or not. Madrid can demand around £30 million for the midfielder and the only way Arteta can pay this is if he sells some deadwood first.
