Manchester United have reportedly agreed on a deal to sign 23-year-old midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax, according to various reports in Europe.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who is one of the most trusted sources right now has claimed that all the parties have agreed to the deal and the transfer is expected to be completed next week.
He wrote on Twitter: “Van de Beek to Man United, here we go! Man Utd tonight as expected have sent their official bid and Ajax just accepted without any negotiation. Agreement reached for €40m + add ons. Paperworks and medicals on next week.

Tottenham Hotspur had also shown an interest in signing Donny van de Beek during the past couple of months and it was when this news first came to the surface, that former Ajax winger Jesper Gronkjaer had compared the youngster to Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.
“I wouldn’t be surprised to see him at Real Madrid or Barcelona but I would rather see him at a club just below that,” the Dane had told Goal.
“For his style of play alone, clubs like Tottenham or Chelsea would be a better fit.
“They are still top clubs and he is more like Frank Lampard, that kind of player. He is a big guy, box-to-box and takes good long shots, but he is not as technically gifted as other players that have come from Ajax. He is a player you can always get a certain level from.”
Donny van de Beek was on fire for Ajax last season, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in just 23 Eredivisie matches and if he turns out to be even half the player what Frank Lampard was during his time, then Manchester United will be back amongst the big boys in no time at all.
