La Liga side Valencia are keen to sign Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the 2020/21 season, according to a report in the Mirror.
The report claims: “Valencia are trying to do a deal for Arsenal misfit Matteo Guendouzi.
“The Spanish club want to do a one-year loan deal with a fixed option to buy the French midfielder next summer for £16m.
“They have held talks with Guendouzi’s representatives who have strong interest in the 21-year-old from Spain and France.
“Valencia want an answer by next weekend on a potential deal with Arsenal preferring a straight sale to fund other business including Lille defender Gabriel.”
Will Arteta agree on a loan deal for Matteo Guendouzi?
Matteo Guendouzi clearly has no place in the Arsenal first-team squad anymore and Mikel Arteta will be more than happy to let him join Valencia.
But, Arsenal want money to fund their other transfers which is why they will try their best to sell him permanently this ongoing transfer window.

We are not sure if Valencia will agree to this arrangement especially when they know that Matteo Guendouzi is of no use to the North London side anymore.
While Arsenal will undoubtedly try and hold onto their end of the bargain till the final moments but with the new Premier League season beginning in two weeks time, Arteta might have no other option but to send the young Frenchman out on loan to Valencia.
But having said this, we doubt if the manager will risk sending Guendouzi out before securing another loan deal for Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid.
