Premier League sides Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have been credited with an interest in Lautaro Martinez but the forward has insisted that he will remain with Inter.

Inter’s financial woes will force them to sell some players to be able to balance their books and one name that has popped is that of Martinez, a forward who’s valued at around £51m.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs are all looking for attacking reinforcements and someone like Lautaro Martinez will light up the Premier League because the 24-year-old has scored 74 goals in 181 games for Inter across all competitions.

However, the Argentine international has crushed all rumours of an exit, claiming that he is more than willing to remain with the Nerazzurri.

While talking about his future, the Argentine said: “My plan is clear: I really want to stay at Inter next season. I’ve not received communications from the club as of today, I want to continue at Inter next season.”

Will Inter hold onto Lautaro Martinez or will they be forced to cash in on him?

Inter’s financial problems are an open secret and they have to sell a few of their first-team regulars to be able to prevent a sanction and this news will keep Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal interested in the forward.

Journalist Jacque Talbot has even asserted that a move to the Premier League is very much possible, citing the name of Spurs.

He told GiveMeSport: “Inter Milan need to make money, they need to sell players to make money.

“They’re in debt, they need to make about 50 million Euros. Getting someone like Martinez is on Spurs’ list and could definitely happen.”

However, Inter also have Bastoni in their squad and there are talks of selling him as well. The defender has just more years left on his contract and it will make much more sense to sell him rather than Lautaro Martinez.

Lautaro Martinez has a deal until the summer of 2026 and since teams like Spurs and Man United have already been linked with Bastoni, Inter will most likely sell him to bring in the major chunk of the money required.

We highly doubt if Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs will be able to get their hands on the 24-year-old, even if they are willing to offer regular playing time next season.

Money can meddle around with Inter’s will and determination but selling their most prized attacking player will be their last recourse.
