Jurgen Klopp has announced that he is going to leave Liverpool at the end of this season and according to talkSPORT, several big-name players could follow him out of the door.

Klopp’s announcement has come as a shock to many but the problems have just started for the club’s owners because Van Dijk, Mo Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contracts in 2025 and there’s a major possibility that they will all refuse to sign extensions.

There’s no denying that Jurgen Klopp has been influential in holding onto most of the first-team players till now but once he is gone, the new manager will bring in a fresh perspective.

It’s still unclear who the next Liverpool manager will be but if an influential name does not come in then there’s no way stars like Van Dijk and Mo Salah are going to remain at Anfield.

Salah’s already getting offers from the Saudi Pro League and with Klopp leaving, the club’s owners could cash in on the Egyptian this summer itself.

Trent has also found it hard to play in his traditional right-back role but Klopp has been kind enough to use him in a midfield role this season in the Premier League. However, we highly doubt if the new manager will be so adjusting.

Virgil Van Dijk will be 34 in July of 2025 so his future will be in doubt as well and to be honest, after his major injury a few years ago, the Dutch defender has not been the same.

Salah and Van Dijk are surely going to leave Liverpool within the next year but TAA is still just 25 years old so the owners will most likely push for him to sign a new contract.

Whenever a new manager joins a club he brings in his own set of plans and players and this usually leads to the selling of some of the old war horses. The Liverpool management will try and bring in someone who can continue Jurgen Klopp’s legacy at the club but to be very honest not only these three, but several other players are also expected to vacate their locker rooms once the German leaves.
