Marco Asensio Real Madrid

Marco Asensio is about to enter the final year of his contract and as per Calciomercato, the winger could be looking to move out in the summer.

The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Madrid and at the end of this campaign, he will have only 12 months left on his current deal. During the 21/22 season, Asensio has started only 14 La Liga matches and in 11 of those, he has not even played the full 90 minutes.

There’s still no guarantee if Madrid will offer him a new contract or not and with clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool previously interested in him, Ancelotti might very well allow Marco Asensio to leave – either on a loan deal or maybe even permanently.

Will Real Madrid offer Marco Asensio a new contract?

Asensio has been with Real Madrid since 2016 but with Kylian Mbappe set to join the club, the winger’s place in the squad could be in peril.

Mbappe looks all set to arrive at the Bernabeu as a free agent and once Madrid get their hands on the Frenchman, Ancelotti will have no problem in letting Asensio move out.

We don’t think the Los Blancos are going to offer the 26-year-old a new deal so maybe the next best plan will be to let him leave on a loan deal in the summer, with an obligation to buy at the end of the 22/23 campaign.

Where will Marco Asensio end up next season?

If Asensio wishes to move out of Real Madrid then he will definitely have no shortage of takers.

Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool have been previously linked with the winger and if he is available in the market then these two sides will surely come calling.

Both these clubs will soon be on the hunt for a right-winger and a player like Marco Asensio can turn out to be a massive asset for either of them.

Arsenal and Liverpool will not be the only suitors though since certain reports have suggested that AC Milan are also sniffing around and if he is available for a loan deal then the Rossoneri could also make a move.

Marco Asensio might have failed to cement a place under Carlo Ancelotti but he’s still a world-class player who can easily light up the Premier League or the Serie A.
