Manchester United picked up a win in midweek against Atalanta and Marcus Rashford put his name on the scoresheet once again.

The England international has just come back from a long recovery spell but he’s taken no time to settle down into the side. He had scored in the loss to Leicester last weekend and then again on Wednesday.

But in that 3-2 win, Marcus Rashford lasted only 66 minutes as he was replaced by Edinson Cavani and immediately there were fears of an injury.

He did come off shortly after a knock to his left thigh but Ole has revealed that it was just a dead leg and he should be fit to play against Liverpool.

Talking to the press, the manager said: “I don’t know. I hope so[that he is fit] and I think so.

“It was a dead leg and sometimes it can take longer than what you want. But if we treat it well, he should be okay.”

Will Marcus Rashford play against Liverpool?

Marcus Rashford has made an instant impact since returning to the team and if the injury is not serious then there’s no way the manager will keep him on the bench.

Jadon Sancho is the obvious replacement but he’s failed to cope up with life in the Premier League so it will not be a sensible decision to put him on the left wing against a team like Liverpool.

But in the worst-case scenario, if Marcus Rashford is not available then it’s Sancho who gets the nod. Ole also has the option of Paul Pogba but since the Frenchman is really poor at tracking back so we doubt if the Man United boss will use him on the wings, especially against a high-press team like Liverpool.

By the looks of it, Rashford’s injury is not serious but even if it is, Solskjaer has adequate backups(the influence of them though is doubtful).
