Marcus Rashford missed the win against Bournemouth at the weekend due to an illness but the forward should be ready to face Chelsea.
Manchester United welcome Chelsea on Thursday night and unless Erik ten Hag has rotation on his mind, the manager will name Rashford in the starting line up.
He missed the Wolves game due to a knock and then he was absent on Saturday because of an illness.
The manager had told the press: ‘[Marcus] trained the whole week, but today he reported he doesn’t feel well, so he’s ill. We have to see how he recovers during the day and then see tomorrow.’
Thankfully, Rashford has returned to training this week and he was pictured with his teammates at Carrington on Tuesday morning.
Manchester United still need one point to secure a place in the top four so Erik ten Hag won’t take the risk of keeping Rashford on the bench. The England international has been the star performer for United this season, scoring 16 goals in 33 league appearances and ever since Ronaldo has left, the 25-year-old has scored the bulk of goals.
United still have to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final next month and the last thing Ten Hag will want is for Rashford to pick up yet another injury.
They need only a single point so if Manchester United can wrap things early on Thursday night then ETH will waste no time in taking Marcus Rashford off.
The manager has Garnacho as the ideal backup and bringing him on against this disarrayed Chelsea side will be a big confidence booster for the youngster.
Marcus Rashford hasn’t scored in his last three appearances everyone will be betting on him to find the back of the net against this shattered Chelsea team.
